Absolutely awful Melia complex.
Stayed in Melia Peninsula Valaredo..Don’t even consider staying here..no facility’s as stated on website .food awful.so many shortages on food and drinks..every day they ran out of something..by the final day no coke,no red wine .no white wine and no bread..there where birds flying around the dining room pooping everywhere and diving on leftover food..the manager said there was nothing he could do about this and had an excuse for everything..standard maybe 2 star…no no no do not book this hotel..

Was in Benidorm Melia
Was in Benidorm Melia. Administrator girl was rude, charged me for late checkout and same day later returned money cause it was not true. No excuse, no explanation. Staff speaking poor English, terrible. Asked to prepare any breakfast in the morning as I left very early, at reception nobody were informed about that. Not nice ask many times simple things to do.

WATCH OUT BEFORE YOU BOOK
1 star? Is too much for this hotel! WATCH OUT BEFORE YOU BOOK. SCAM!!!!
We have booked a room with a fully sea view, you come to the hotel and you get a standaard room???? 2 hours disccussing with the staf there to solve it, but noo we cannot do anything, you show what you have booked, and what you have paid but they don’t understand anything.
If you want to go to the swimming pool by the hotel? You need to pay for towels 65 euro… for 1 time swimming.
Very dirty from inside… reception is good, but when you go to the room… very discusting.
A lot of noise the whole night so you can not even sleep 1 hour..
Roomservice? What a hell… they dirctly open the door when you are naked with your wife…and we had already bord with no clean today.
NEVER MORE to this hotel!!!

Review of Melia Cala Galdana
Pending review
I am amazed no one else has left a review of their stay in the Melia in Menorca. (April 2022)
I have just returned from a week's stay at the hotel in Cala Galdana.
However, in the last 7 days at the hotel were a nightmare between the time of 8 am-6 pm at the hotel, I am very disappointed, as there is a major refurbishment of the hotel on the fourth floor. The hotel is undertaking a back to concrete with no windows on the 4th floor. We stayed on the 6th floor. When I booked the hotel stay there was no mention of refurbishment. I even checked Trip advisor to make sure the hotel was as described. I included in my booking I need a quiet room away from the lifts as I have a 1-year-old baby. Upon check-in, I was assured sarcastically the room was quiet. As we arrived late we ate at the restaurant which on the 24th of April very disappointing as there was very limited food available. This improved by the last night of our stay, but we ultimately had to dine out on some nights as the repetitive small menu was not to my family's liking. I informed two desk staff about our experience and was offered a move to the 7th floor which would not have made any difference. From the first morning, there was heavy loud drilling with a Jackhammer/Drill which lasted 6 days, chain saws could not use the room from 8 am - 6 pm and could not get the baby to sleep. I also was woken by crane deliveries and general loud building work every day, this obviously is the not image or experience of a 5 star Melia Hotel I have stayed in. I spoke to a Jet 2-holiday rep who informed me the work was only light work and would continue until June. I showed her a video of the noise in my room and she was amazed. She told me the work would be finished in late June. I tried to complain to the hotel and via the app, and website there is no process to address complaints, which is very poor considering the £2500 stay. The hotel is not 5 star, I would guess at best 3.5. There is no accessible access to the children's pool which is 4 flights of stairs. In April/May Wim Hoff would struggle to use the adult pool or children's pool. There is a lot of noise from the corridors where the family rooms are, constant door banging, people talking etc and TV noise.. The TV has an audio input option but no electricity near a tv to plug a DVD or computer into them so an expensive mistake, there is also no extension cable. The entrance to the hotel from the beach is also not accessible, the ramp is dangerous in the wet and the gradient too steep.
On a positive note, the restaurant, bar, and cleaning staff were excellent. They could not do enough to make your stay perfect. It's a shame the number of suited managers does not do the same. The hotel lets the staff down.
I regularly use the Melia in London but have had no response to my complaint, I even emailed the CEO Gabriel Escarrer and did not get a repose, on leaving and paying the check-in staff were not bothered by the slightness.
So I would give the Melia chain a miss unless you like drilling and overpriced hotels. I have videos of the drilling daily I will put up on social media checkout MrDyslexia on Twitter/insta

Cheats & bad customer service
Having spent several thousand pounds staying in a Melia hotel for a number of months, they refused to give me the award points that I should have received for the room.
Their excuse was because I wasn’t a member prior to booking with them.
This was a load of lies from their end. I had to book twice throughout my stay a totally new reservation via their central reservation system to stay on at the hotel as my initial reservation was for only a couple of weeks. Prior to this I’d become a member! They also awarded me a few points for food, drink and the spa throughout my stay so they’re clearly criticising themselves!
Clearly they can’t be bothered to properly look into their mistakes.
I won’t ever be staying in a Melia hotel again and they can shove their measly point down the pan.
Bad customer service, cheats and seriously not right in the head for upsetting long term, money spending clients!

Worse hotel I have ever stayed in!
Worse hotel I have ever stayed in!
Unsafe and unpleasant!
Worse hotel I have ever been to in my life.
Doesn’t worth 50$ a night let alone the 325$ we paid.
Hotel is old, rusty and falling apart.
But that’s not the worse part.
We caught Cholera from which is a bacteria found in contaminated water that was used to make the rice.
We were in bed for over a week and we’re lucky we made it out of Cuba alive!
Save yourselves!
Stay away From this hotel it’s…
Stay away From this hotel it’s terrible!!
What a disappointment!
This hotel chain has become an accomplice to the suffering of the Cuban people by giving a shared amount of millions of dollars for the construction of the Fidel Castro's Center Tyrant of Cuba that has dominated the country for 63 years and the people do not even have aspirin.
STILL WAITING AFTER 1 YEAR
I have been waiting for over a year for my points back and no answer from Melia! They even downgraded my membership even I still have the entitlement for it!
OUTRAGEOUS!! TO AVOID AT ALL COST!!!..................

Possibly the worst non communicative…
Possibly the worst non communicative company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I booked a holiday at the Melia Salinas in Lanzerote, I am a member of the Melia reward/member scheme. I had to change the dates of the booking that I had paid for in advance. There was no reply from the hotel so i contacted customer service that told me I had to deal with the hotel. I rang the hotel who told me to deal with customer service, I went back and too being told confusing and incorrect info until eventually I was told the booking was changed, I asked for a refund in the difference in the price which was lower, I was asked to to take photos of new price I did this although I questioned why the company who own the hotel didn't know the cost of their rooms. I have now sent 27 emails without success, the replies make no sense and it is far removed from any customer service I have encountered. I asked that half board be breakfast and lunch instead of dinner ? This was mot possible, no answer as to why, it seems to me there is no common sense or flexibility with Melia. I have now given up on trying to recoup the difference due to the hopelessness of the customer service , which is probably what the count on! In short dont book with them , I certainly wont in future
